Rare and Excellent 7.62mm Instructional L26A1 armourer’s ‘Cut-Away’ demonstration rifle, serial No. 327 A

This Instructional Model cutaway demo model is made from early X8E1 trials rifle so the most parts are to be considered experimental parts of all FN FAL Production. (Please note the magazine Mark X2 E1 and Buttstock Cleaning kit trap cover )
The L25A1 was supplied mounted in a demonstration stand and its springs were reduced in tension to facilitate easy use as a teaching aid Please Note the plaque info
Agreement with FN announced in mid-December 1953 for the UK decision to order 5000 (4000 X8E1, or type “A” Rifle and 1000 The X8E2 , or type “B” Rifle, )FAL rifle for extended troop trials
The X8E1, or type “A” Rifle, was to be charger-fed through the built-in front and the rear clip guides in the top cover and receiver, and fitted with regular iron sight.Note the clip seating guides in the front of the receiver.
The X8E2 , or type “B” Rifle, was to be equipped with both the R&J Beck unit-optic and the emergency offset iron sight.
